Music Appreciation
Music appreciation in bellydance involves deeply listening to, interpreting, and connecting with the complex layers of MENAHT music. In this class Dawn will instruct us in the basics of bellydance musicality, particularly Chiftitellli and Rhumba, which are common Taqsim rhythms.
30-45 minutes.
All Things Taqsim
Taqsim is the slow, emotional, interpretive dance style often performed to musical improvisation. In this class we will explore the fluid, slinky movements of taqsim while incorporating the elements we learned in Music Appreciation.
